Charles Huguenin (-Virchaux) (b. Le Locle, 17 02 1844), a pharmacist, received a passport for Mexico on 03 August 1864.  In Mexico, he married first Marie Carricart and then Julie Emery, and had children by both wives.  One of his sons, Albert-Antoine, served as a pilot in France during the First World War, and was killed in action.  His parents were Edouard Huguenin-Virchaux and Julie-Frédérique Junod, and this Huguenin-Virchaux line can be traced back to the early 1400’s and the first known Huguenin.

There are also descendants of the Huguenin-Elie branch in Mexico today.
